This article is very important to all farmer. In case you do not know what is Blood Meal; Blood meal is part of the ingredient(s) used in compounding/ milling Animal Feed(s). it is very Proteinous.
Because of it crude protein level most farmers give Blood meal a High value when formulating there feeds; without knowing there side effect on the animal being fed.
EFFECTS OF TOO MUCH / HIGH VALUE OF BLOOD MEAL IN ANIMAL FEED
1. In most Animals, too much Blood Meal In feed can cause Cannibalism, when too much in animal feed; if any animal falls victim of taking feed with High value/quantity of Blood Meal; the Animal will keep tasting blood and smelling blood and this can cause cannibalism.
2. Too Much Blood meal in feed can cause breakout of diseases/infection when fed on any animal. HOW?-- When the Blood of the Animal being used as Blood Meal is not well dried to kill all kind or form of Disease or if the animal was infected before it can cause disease to any animal if the infected blood meal is being mixed with other ingredients as Feed for the animal.
3. Too much Blood Meal in Feed of Pregnant Pig (INSOW) can lead to giving birth of Blind Piglets.
